Tèxtils.CAT is a partner in the In Transit project, aimed at strengthening the resilience of textile, aerospace, and construction SMEs for a greener and more digital transition. The project’s launch meeting took place in Brussels, attended by representatives from the European Commission.
In Transit seeks to enhance the resilience of SMEs in these sectors through a mixed support mechanism that includes individual consulting and funding vouchers to ensure consolidation and sustainability.
The strategy of In Transit focuses on four key pillars:
- Incubation: Providing joint services to support SMEs in identifying opportunities, needs, and market weaknesses, fostering intersectoral learning, best practice exchange, and collaborative development.
- Innovation Support: Offering personalized advisory services, including self-assessment, circular/digital diagnostics, and strategic coaching/training (business model development).
- Transition Project Development: Supporting transition projects with cascade funding, complemented by coaching services.
- Market Scaling: Delivering personalized services utilizing additional private or public funds through European Structural and Investment Funds or other sources.
The project has a total budget of 5 million euros, with 3 million earmarked for cascade funding for SMEs, and 1 million allocated for providing services to advance their digital and green transitions over a 36-month period.
In Transit is the fourth project featuring cascade funding, following GALACTICA and xBUILD-EU, both coordinated by Tèxtils.CAT, as well as EuroBoosTEX. The cluster considers cascade funding projects highly beneficial for textile SMEs due to reduced administrative burdens, expedited disbursement, and the lump-sum mechanism that turns them into true grants targeted at SMEs.
Over the next three years, Tèxtils.CAT will launch various calls for over 5 million euros in financial support for SMEs through these ongoing projects: In Transit, EuroBoosTEX, and xBUILD-EU.
The In Transit project is led by ATEVAL in Valencia, with partners including Tèxtils.CAT in Catalonia, CTA in Andalusia, CORALLIA in Greece, PRODUTECH in Portugal, Science Park Graz in Austria, IDEAM in Ireland, POLIMI in Italy, IRTJV in France, and CCS in Slovenia.
