Return of shredded non-woven fabric scraps from the client to Pont Aurell y Armengol after the client has preformed and cut the manufactured piece (currently applied to the wheel arch).
At Pont Aurell y Armengol, the shredded material is reintroduced into the manufacturing process as filling between two layers of non-woven fabric.

Manufacturing multifilament polypropylene yarns with 50% recycled polypropylene. By replacing 50% of virgin material with recycled polypropylene, the environmental impact is significantly reduced without compromising quality. The recycled polypropylene comes from post-consumer plastic waste sourced in Spain. This project successfully overcomes the technical challenges posed by the industry for producing recycled yarns.

Using recycled polypropylene yarns and texturing techniques, rugs are produced that withstand weather conditions, chlorine, and UV rays. These rugs are soft, designed for barefoot walking, yet durable enough to protect outdoor furniture. They are made with 50% recycled PP multifilaments, resulting in outdoor fabric rugs with the lowest carbon footprint in their category.

The main technological challenge of this project is to research and develop the application of various natural dyes and their mordants, optimizing their operating conditions to introduce an innovative product to the market. The result is durable color fixation without damaging the fibers.
