Tèxtils.CAT has launched its textile circularity hub at an event held at Tibidabo, attended by over 40 participants from the advanced textile materials ecosystem in Catalonia.

The new CIRCULAR.Tèxtils.CAT hub consolidates the knowledge and tools developed over the past decade into a single access portal for companies in the sector. Its goal is to facilitate access to tools that drive the green transition, providing high-value connections and creating a community to share best practices.

During the launch event, Tèxtils.CAT presented the vision of the hub and the next steps to expand it with the active collaboration of the industry. This includes activities such as a waste Marketplace to promote circularity, networking events, and training opportunities through a repository of virtual training sessions.

The event also featured two round tables: one with public agents from the Department of Territory, Housing, and Ecological Transition of the Government of Catalonia, ACCIÓ, and the Waste Agency of Catalonia, who discussed the sector’s opportunities in circularity; and another focused on intersectoral collaboration with participation from MODACC, Cluster Packaging, and the Pact for Sustainable Fashion, all strategic partners of Tèxtils.CAT.

The next activity of the hub will focus on strengthening international relationships, with an international collaboration forum scheduled for November 13 in Barcelona, designed to connect the advanced textile materials sector in Catalonia with its European counterparts.
